Hello,
I have an ATM/Debit card (Not a credit card) which is connected directly to my checking type bank account. I successfully created a Paypal account and connected it to the debit card. I was also asked by paypal if I wanted to add a bank account. If I don't, how can I transfer money from my debit card to paypal and vice versa, assuming that the debit card already has some money? I don't quite understand how the money is transferred between the debit card & paypal and what are the banking transferring fees in each case?
I have not added my bank account to Paypal yet, as I was not sure of the risks/benefits of doing so. If I dont and leave it as it is, will I be able to make withdrawals from PayPal to my bank account and vise versa (The debit card is connected directly to my account)
Will I have to pay higher bank transfer fees?
This is what is stated at Paypal:
I live in Greece E.U. and the local currency is Euro.Withdraw PayPal Funds Directly to Your Greek Bank Account.

Please excuse my ignorance as I have never used Paypal / Ebay before, so any help will be highly appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

IIRC correctly you can fund your Paypal with your debit card for free, just follow the instructions given in your control panel. You cannot withdraw from Paypal to your card so therefore you can't withdraw any money at all if someone sends you money via Paypal for example. That's why you need to have a bank account to withdraw money
as it says it is also free to withdraw money to your bank account but you must withdraw over 100 or else you will be charged 1
If you think you will ever be using $'s or £'s then you can add those type of currencies also to save on conversions -
Add your bank account.
It works just like debit.
You can add, withdraw, or simply make payments for purchases directly from the bank.
You don't even have to put any money into your paypal account, the money goes from your bank, through paypal to the payee.
Paypal doesn't charge for this, other than what your bank may charge.
Mine charges $1.50Cheers, Jim
