    Greetings:

New to this DVD making so pardon the newb question.

I am TIVO'ing football games, converting to mpeg2 with a hardware encoder, editing out commercials, then authoring to DVD-5.

My mpeg2 encoder breaks the files at around 4 gig so a normal game results in 3 files. With the cutting I get a game half per DVD. Each disc needs 1 1/2 files.

How many minutes of video captured at 720x480 and 29.97 fps can I fit on a DVD? What I want to do is estimate where I need to cut the second added file.

If there is a faq please point me to it.

Oh, I searched the forum but could not find anything.

    file-size = bitrate x running time.
    If in doubt, Google it.

What is the running time of your game, once you have taken out ads etc ?
