When I load the dvd in smartripper, it says no aspi-adapter available.... not sure what to do from here.. i havent used this prog in a while!

You can download an aspi driver, which is free. Or you can click "okay" on the error message and SmartRipper will continue to load and read the disk. The most common error I get from Smart Ripper is that the drive is locked. In that case, play the disk through PowerDVD or WinDVD and then resart SmartRipper.
