DVD region Code

Hey,
Am burning a DVD using NERO...How and where can i find out the region code that is set.... I belong to the PAL region but want to burn my DVDs in NTSC format with region code 0.Please help.What is the default value? Any clues would be of help....

what is your video source? a dvd that you have ripped? or something that you convert like avi to dvd?

In general, anything burned by Nero itself would NOT have a region code at all, but then, we'd need to know a bit more about your video source, as Baldrick had stated.

In other words....simply changing the region code will not change the disc from PAL to NTSC or vise versa.
The disc will still not be easily playable in America if it is PAL...no matter what region you set for it.

hey,
This is my showreel(animation) that i want to burn...i have created the vob file using ulead movie factory...I saved the AUDIO_TS & VIDEO_TS folders onto the hard disk when i created the output so that i can burn it whenever required...I find it easy to use Nero than burning it straight from Ulead...Hope this was the information that u wanted...

If the settings in Ulead were PAL then it is already PAL material that you will be burning...same thing if the settings in Ulead were set at NTSC.

Wrt NTSC i don't have a problem...I've set the video settings to NTSC only....So am sure abt the format although i would like to check the properties after burning, just to be doubly sure...It is only abt the Region Code...Just want to ensure that it plays properly....
