  1. *Sorry if this is the wrong spot for this topic*

I just bought a new Epson R220 for printing labels on my DVDs. I printed out 4 of them 2 nights ago w/ no problems. Then last night I went to print out one and it kept saying that the tray was loaded wrong. It would suck it in for about 10 sec and then spit it back out w/o any printing. I have no idea why this is happening. Please help

  2. Moving you to computers.

The previous model had many problems with the tray, especially if the clear plastic lip became worn or damaged.

Have you tried printing on a sheet of normal paper and then setting the printer up for cd/dvd printing?

  3. I too had a similar problem with my R200. To this day I am not sure what caused it but here is what fixed it for me. Maybe it will work for you. Try powering down the printer for about 5 minutes then turn it back on. This time will should allow the printer to reset and it will cure your problem. Hopefully this will be all you need to do. Good luck!
    All's well that burns well.

I have a r200 and an r220. The new r220 I have hasnt one problem. but with the r200 I found I had to actually find the 'sweet spot' when I loaded the tray (which was actually lining it up with the arrows and then pulling it back like 1/8". And heres a little tip, if you refill...get these>>> http://shopdyesub.com/cartridges.htm

best investment for the r200 and r220 I have made yet.

yes..I actually bought the extended warranty for my last printer I bought there(the 220). They claim if anything goes wrong with it after the stores 14 day return policy, I can call that warranty place and they will ship another ASAP and then all I have to do is return my old one in the box they sent the new one in. Does your tray have that clear plastic lip on the end of it? I heard they will send you a upgraded tray if you have the old style one. Epson damn sure shouldnt charge you because you havent had it that long. If you havent had it for more than 14 days...take it back to the store for a replacement.
