I am trying to rip the music video on the new Dukes of Hazzard DVD. using DVDSHRINK it rips fine and the audio is selected, but there is no sound.

    Any clues?

no sound when you play it? some software players may not find the audio in vob files...cause they are not meant to be played. same problem if you import vobs in some autghoring tools.

try demultiplex the vob into video and audio streams with rejig or tmpgenc. and see if you can get any audio.

yep, no sound. I have riped many music videos and parts of movies and this is the frist one that does not bring the sound over. I am ripping them for a work holiday party and then i use WinDVD and play all the VOB files. The odd thing is you can use Mediaplayer and there is sound.

just vob files are NOT meant to be played standalone...most will work fine but not all.

demultiplex it and then multiplex it back to a mpg.
