  1. my virtualdubmod couses the divx® 5.2.1 encoding settings screen to crash. is this normal, and is there another way to access the divx® 5.2.1 settings screen, i mean the encoding one, the one with all the options 1-pass, nth pass, quality, bitrate, and this stuff, not the decoding screen.
The crash occurs with vrtualdubmod when i go video->compression->select DivX 5.2.1 codec->configure ->settings (it is located low-left corner, next to restore to defaults)

Did you install DivX before or after virtualdubmod?

    Try uninstalling and reinstalling DivX.
