Okay, you all had been wonderin' what kind of DVD recorder I had been trying to PLAY my DVD's on

    Okay:

    1. The recorder is: DUAL-DVD/VCR Recorder Combo (An INSIGNIA IS-DVD100121 - in house BEST BUY)

    2. Player 1: My parents SONY CD/DVD Player DVP-NS315

Look at what it states in the USER MANUAL
    - Pages 6 and 7 as far what it can and cannot play

Looks like they got an idea of what it can and can't do.

    - Reality So far I got it to successfully play with MEMOREX DVD+R's NOT the MEMOREX DVD+RW's for some reason.....on the +RW's , it plays for a while, then FREEZES up, skips, returns to the beginning of the program recorded...go figure..the +R's are just fine.

    Figure that one out.

Player 2. My personal SANYO-DWM 370 can play both DVD+R/RW's with no issues.

Now, anyway to get the +RW's to play on the SONY? Or do I need a blank media format other than the namebrand MEMOREX?

    WTF ???

Put it in the "DVD Player" section of your profile. Then it appears on every single post you make.

    Sheesh !

    If in doubt, Google it.

My Thomson DTH-213 cannot play +RW's that are booktyped to DVD-ROM....but it plays unbooktyped +RW's just fine.
My manual says it plays everything....but nothing about booktyped +R or booktyped +RW.
Oh well...life goes on...and Memorsux discs can and are made by two different manufacturers....neither of the two by Memorex themselves.

  5. Please add these details to your profile so others can see right away what you are using, no matter what post you make.

Also, please continue to use your original thread - don't start new ones to continue a discussion.

    Thanks!
