I am in a bit of a conundrum....I currently run a Hauppauge PVR-250 in my main system (fast) that I love. I am also building a low end HTPC which needs a capture card as well. A couple FSFT forums have Hauppauge Wintv Go Plus PCI cards for dirt cheap so the thought was use the PVR-250 in the slower HTPC rig and use the software based Go Plus in the fast rig. I'd want to test in the fast rig first though to make sure it meets my needs WITHOUT uninstalling the PVR-250 in case the Go Plus doesn't work out as well as I'd hoped.

Whew, so do you think there would be any problems having both these cards in one system? I am used to the WinTV2000 interface as well as the ease of TitanTV for scheduling recording. I have a number of preset capture profiles as well I use on a regular basis.

Any thoughts or comments would be appreciated

And before you ask...No I do not have the $$ to afford another PVR-250 or 150 at this time...if so this would be a moot post

Stay with hardware encoding cards. Otherwise you need a very fast CPU for software encoding (and inability to freely use the computer while capturing) or capturing uncompressed follwed by hours of encoding.

Avoid the false economy of the WinTv Go. Save up for another hardware encoding card.

You can have both in one system but it might confuse TitanTV. Beyond TV has most of the multi-tuner card issues sorted out.

They are dirt cheap if you go for MCE model check out pcalchemy.com as low $50 without FM or $65 with FM
You maybe able to run WinTV2000 with both card install but you have disable one card in device manager in order for WinTV2000 to work one or other card depend which one you want run but keep in mind that WinTV2000 SoftPVR software I don't know anything about it and never test this type of setup.
