LG DVB418 Firmware upgrade.. UH OH!

In my haste to try a region free hack on this dvd player; I accidentally (or intentionally) upgraded my 418 dvd player with a UK firmware! I was so excited that I didn't read everything. Including the domain of the person who posted the file. So now I have a dvd player that won't read region 1 dvds. . I've looged on LG's site but couldn't find their firmware support site in their maze of menus. Any help would be appreciated. I just contacted LG and they said that I would have to take it to a repair center. I hope not!

How could you get the foreign version of firmware?
Is there any place I can get the firmware for the Korean version hardware? (korean model name dvf4912h)

I have a copy of the LGDVD418 firmware from LG. They sent it to me for an audio sync problem that they had. PM me and if I can upload it I will, if not maybe I can copy it an mail it to you.

I'm trying to find out the firmware for korean version model of this player since I could not watch DivX files with .smi caption files written in Korean.
