  1. im getting this codec error (audio)

    i used gsopt to check the codec

    i tryed everthing to make a wave file but i cant seem to get the audio. do i need codecs? if so witch ones do i need? does this avi have audio?

    It's hard to tell from that. You should use the latest version of Gspot, 2.52.

    You can also use a program like DXMan or Codec Sniper to get more info about your codecs and remove them if needed.

    It has mp3 audio and Windows comes with an ACM mp3 decompressor.

    If all you want to do is decompress to a wav, you could try something else like mplayer.

    But one thing I saw was that VDub does NOT like to read VBR files, and you got a VBR audio stream there.

    I dunno about that. I use both virtualdubmod and virtualdubmpeg2 to convert VBR MP3 to WAV all the time. It's actually one of the more popular ways to do it around here.
    If in doubt, Google it.

  6. the avi is lost S2E3 and im trying to convert it into dvd. i tryed "dircet stream copy" to get the audio, but when i convert the avi with the dircet stream copy wav. the voices are all off (very bad)

    ive tryed everything, but i cant get the audio heres some more info about the avi maybe some will see something i missed, so i could get the audio
