My dvd sony dvp-s560p stopped working after 2 years. It can't read any dvd. When inserting dvd it says "no disc". Having researched online I found out many complaints from users regarding the dead fuse F402.
How can sony can build their products with hidden defect like this ? Do you know how to fix this problem ? Should I throw it away and buy another one like Yamaha S-1500 ? Thanks

I don't know if I would call it a hidden defect, the player has lasted 2 years.
