for a while ive had my ATI all in wonder 5200 capture card installed and ive captured alot of things no problem, then one day audio stopped working, when i capture i get no audio at all just video. same with my microphone when i speak into it i get nothing, but i can hear things from my pc just fine (cd's, dvds) just i cant input any audio for some reason. i went through everything from volume control settings, mic settings , took out the card and reinstalled it, reinstalled the software, you name it ive done it...im hoping someone knows whats wrong here.

Try another sound card, or possibly on-board sound chip (if you have one)?

is that really a sound card problem though? because i can hear things , i really dont want to buy another sound card, i only have one on board sound card but i guess at this point thats my only option

Borrow one? Or hunt up the on-line sales? I've seen them as low as $3 - 5 US. Wouldn't be a great sound card at that price, but it would sure tell you if that was your problem.
