    Hello all,

Not sure if i am in the correct forum with these questions ( apollogies if i'm not).

I am fairly new to the world of video editing, dvd compilation etc so please excuse my ignorance.

The questions i would like to as are about a particular ( excellent article BTW) "how to" topic that is on these boards, the topic in question is converting from NTSC to PAL, the link is How To Convert To Pal or NTSC With Dgpulldown

How To Convert To Pal or NTSC With Dgpulldown using tmpgenc and dgpulldown

    http://www.johnisme.com/avi1.shtml

What i need to know is can i use my version of Tmpgenc ( as opposed to the 2.5 version used in the article which i do not own), which is the latest TMPGEnc 3.0 Express along with Dgpulldown?- i would be converting NTSC- AVI, Mpeg and DVD files to the PAL format.

If this can be done using my version of Tempgenc and dgpulldown could anyone here possibly give me a walkthrough?.

Many thanks for any help or advice offered- it really would be appreciated.

    Andy

There is a better than even chance that your player will play NTSC disks without any problems. Most players in PAL regions (UK, Australia etc) play back NTSC in a variety of ways.

    Hi again,

Thanks for your replys, i forgot to mention in my original posts that i will be mixing PAL AVI's and PAL DVD footage with the NSTC stuff that i want to burn to a PAL DVD.

Musher: Would this Nero Express be able to do conversion?- produce "jerk" free play?

The problem i "seem" to have with my version of Tempgenc is that i don't seem to have the same choices as the 2.5 version, yet mine is the later Tempgenc 3.0 exprss version- Could anyone else offer any help?

    Thanks

    Andy
