  1. I have the URL of a .ram stream and want to capture to .avi. What is the best way to do this, I have tried Real7ime Converter / R7C with xvid codec and i got an error at the end of the capture and the avi won't open in any program.
    Thanks, Anthony

google on what you're trying to do and you'll get loads of hits. There are fan sites, and all sorts of prog. to capture the stream. Sometimes it's my understanding that the only way around various server protections is to use a screen capture codec like the one built into wmencoder 9, and capture the stream as it plays in whatever player you're using. It's also common to just have a reference to a video file, and include that reference in the file a link sends you to -- have to use something like url snoop to find the true link.
