DVD+R plays in DVD player, DVD+RW does not?

Hi, I've recently started burning DVDs and was successful when burning on DVD+Rs. They play fine in my DVD player (an old Panasonic model, DVD-RV30), which was surprising, because it doesn't even play VCDs. However, this last DVD I burned on a DVD+RW and my DVD player just displays a "Reading" message that doesn't go away.

I will try it on a newer DVD player later today that I don't own, one that seems to be able to play more formats, but so that I'm not forced to buy another DVD player, is there anything I can do with this DVD+RW?

I am using Memorex DVD+RW, TMPGEnc DVD Author. Sorry if this was addresed before, if it was, please direct me to the thread.

Probably not. My old player (no Panasonic) played -R,+R no problems, but didn't play RW.
