  1. I usesd IsoBuster to extract mpeg files from VCDs. But I can't play some of them in Windows Media Player, but I can play them using Real Player.
My question is How can I play them in Windows Media Player?

I checked codecs that I might be missing using AVICodec, but it says both video and audio codecs are surpotted.

These are both video and audio codecs that AVICodec shows.
    Video : 467 MB, 1150 Kbps, 25.0 fps, 352*288 (4:3), MPG1 = MPEG 1
    (VCD), Supported
    Audio : 91 MB, 224 Kbps, 44100 Hz, 2 channels, 0x51 = Mpeg-1 audio
    Layer 2 [0xc0], Supported

The strange thing is that only some of files that I extracted can't be played in Windows Media Player. I have both codecs, so what should I do??

    Thank you for your help.

how did you extract? did you remove the special "vcd" headers by right click on the dat and select extract but filter... in isobuster?
or try use vcdeasy or vcdgear to extract the vcd dats to mpg.
or try repair the mpg1 stream with mpegcorrector.
