I bought a Sony DVD player long time ago. This DVD is known to read original dvd disc only, none of copied disc can be played.

Surprisingly, it plays DVD-R disc for more than 6 months. Now the player suddenly could not read any dvd disc, even the original one (got message No Disc). Does anybody know why and how could I fix it .... before I throw it away ? Thanks

Try using a DVD cleaner in it. It could just be a dirty laser. You can buy one for less than 15.00 or so....

Actually these days you can buy a cheap cyberhome dvd player for under $50 that will probably have more features then your old sony. Might be time to upgrade. (there are other inexprensive brands beside cyberhome as well).
Donatello - The Shredder? Michelangelo - Maybe all that hardware is for making coleslaw?
