Hi! Ive been trying to encode some of my vob files into AVI format using DIVX. How come the max bitrate im allowed is either 4000 or 4854? I am using the newest version of DIVX, but I believe when I used older versions it didnt set a limit! Please help!

Are you using one of the profiles?? You may have it set to one of the portable video formats which limits your resolution options.
Try setting it to "home theater" profile and you should be able to use a higher bitrate. If your destination is just the computer and not a DIVX enabled dvd player set it to "UNDEFINED" and you'll be able to change all the settings you'll need.Donatello - The Shredder?
