    Ok

i have a few xvid files which have been encoded with Mp3, now when i was using Xvids or whatever encoded with AC3 i could rip the sound track with VDUB save as Wav and convert to mp3 with dbpoweramp.

Problem is i cant rip the mp3 audio using vdub.. crashes everytime i use compression, if i save as a WAV it will not play or convert..

i need something to grab the Mp3 diretly from the xvid/divx

    any one help?

If you save it as a wav file, make sure you save it uncompressed, or if you must use MP3, use CBR, not VBR.

ok will give AVI2WAV a go, tried goldwave i get the same error...

Should a AVI/Xvid (what ever) encoded with MP3 rip to wav no problem?

i was kinda hoping for a proggy which would allow me to strip the mp3..... ni such luck

  9. yep, appears that the audio was in ac3 format...i'd highly recommend just demuxing it and using that in whatever conversion your doing (unless your doing something that CANT deal with ac3 audio.....)

    WHAT 0.7b one?

  12. 0.7b I assume is ac3 filter (DS for playback). This is not codec (and not decompressor )
