Hi all, im having problems installing some memory into my pc,
right i have 2 sticks of 1gig ddr dimm for my kn72 board, the board will allow 3 sticks of 1gig into the 3 slots provided, if i insert the 2 sticks of memory the pc either keeps restarting or sends me to the options screen (safe mode, normal e.t.c) which on selecting a option still keeps restarting the pc,
now if i put just 1 stick of memory in, the pc starts no problems, ive tested both sticks individually and there fine.
is there something im doing wrong or is there some settings i have to mess with ?
any help is much appreciated as im such a noob with pc`s

Are they the same brand of memory? Sometimes the cheapies have problems if they're not the same.
I haven't really heard of any BIOS settings needing to be changed for memory, but it's always possible. Try one stick, get into BIOS, then see if there's a setting that needs to be changed. -
Yes there the same brand , ill have another go , anyone else with any suggestions let me know plz,

Try different slos. The memory don't need to be next to each other.

Are they identical sticks, same timeings and everything. Also, make sure you are placing them in slots of the same color.
