OK, I've got some show I want to capture from VHS, but the final product I want them to be in is VCD. However I want to use filters in VirtualDub to clean the video up, then encode in TMPGEnc. I believe I can do this one of two ways:
1) Capture to huffy, filter and re-encode to whatever, then encode in TMPGEnc
2) Caputre to huffy, use AVISynth to serve to TMPGEnc
I definatly won't do number 1, as that requires 3 different compression and makes the video look like crap. Number 2 however, I can't use all VirtualDub filters.
I would capture to MPEG straight away, but as I said, I want to use Vdub filters (namely: deflicker, delogo, ACDsee and temporal smoother).
Any suggestions how I could achive my aim?? Shall I capture a different way??? And I guess, using filters while capturing is a bad idea???
