    Hi,

I have an mkv file whit 2 audio and a subtitle stream (of course also a video stream). When i play the file in Windows Media Player Classic it duration is 00:24:20 Min. When i open it up in MKVEGUI (MKVExtract) I only can see 00:07:11 min. In VirtualDubMod it's the same. I want to extra't all of the streams to seperate file for DVD Authoring but i can't seem to find the problem. The second episode is right 24 min in WMPC and 24 In VirtualDubMod.

I think the first file is "broken". But i have seen in on my computer and it does not give any error. Is there a way to fix this problem?

Then I'd suspect the file is corrupted after all. MPlayerC is known to skip some errors.

VFR = Variable Frame Rate. Doesn't sound like that is it though.

If you can play an mkv, Graphedit should be able to open it. If you can play the entire mkv, then graphedit should be able to dump the entire mkv to.

I can play the mkv entirly but Graphedit is telling me a filter error. I never worked whit GraphEdit before. Maybe i'm doing something wrong.

Can i check an mkv for errors whit some sort of video error scanner or something like that?

Ok i saw when i load the file into VirtualDubMod there is 79134 Kb Parsed. (Parsing Matroske File) Then he tells there is a subtitle overlap (this is whit evry file)

When i look into the stream list i see the 3 (2 Audio, 1 SSa Subtitle) What i noticed is that the subtitle is longer dan 7:11 its 7:20. Mabye the subtitle in this file is getting in the way of parsing?

Ok maybe i'm crazy now but i need the file to be demuxed. When you play any video can i capture it back. Like when i play the file the video of it is capture at the same moment to avi. I know i can capture the audio but i must play the file 2 times for english audio and again for japanese audio. Now another thing is the Subtitle. How could i get that back.

I could use fddshow to put the subtitle in the avi (when i capture it from my screen) the whit another kind of program (if somethin even exist) extract the subtitle out of it. The mux the mkv back?

Someone could tell me these programs exist?

    Same problem here.
I have 2 MKV files and if you demux/convert them it stops somewhere in the middle.
Both play ok im Windows Mediaplayer.
Video in the MKV is h.264
    2 Soundtracks with A_AAC
    and Subtitels

    Anybody any idea?

I have tried: AlltoAVI, MKVExtractGui and VirtualDub - none worked for me
