  1. Hi all. I recently burned a DL disc for the first so I'm not sure about some things. Everything went ok except when i ran dvdpro and check the disc for errors i found 17 errors in one sector that was bad. It was:

    1. Error - LBA = 00248950h
    2. Error - LBA = 00248951h
    3. Error - LBA = 00248952h
    4. Error - LBA = 00248953h
    5. Error - LBA = 0024895bh
    6. Error - LBA = 0024895ch
    7. Error - LBA = 00248984h
    8. Error - LBA = 00248989h
    9. Error - LBA = 0024898ah
    10. Error - LBA = 0024898bh
    11. Error - LBA = 0024898ch
    12. Error - LBA = 002489c3h
    13. Error - LBA = 002489c4h
    14. Error - LBA = 002489c5h
    15. Error - LBA = 002489c6h
    16. Error - LBA = 002489ceh
    17. Error - LBA = 002489cfh

My question is can someone tell me where on the disc or how many minutes in the error is. I have a series of tv shows and previews on the disc and if the shows aren't affected by the error and the previews are then i don't care. But if the show is will i be able to just skip over that part when watching it. Basically I don't want to use this disc as a coaster.

    Hope i didn't confuse anyone.

    thanks

    bruce

I assume you mean DVD Info Pro - how far through the disk did the colours change in the display. You can get a rough idea of the location from this. It starts on layer one, at the centre, and works its way out to the layer break at the outer edge, then comes back toward the centre on layer two.

At a guess, I would say somewhere towards the end of layer one/start of layer two, only because the outer edge is where most issues occur.

Only one box has a red dot. The rest are green. Also sorry about the banners in the middle.

You know you have just used ctrl-printscreen instead of hypersnap ?

It's a small error, but probably will cause breakup on playback. If youa re lucky it won't freeze the player.

Personally, I'd put my drink on this one and burn a new one.
