Got a dvd burner for last-year christmas...reformatted hard-drive, now have enough hard drive space to do stuff again...

    Have a Sony CD-ROM Drive Unit Model # CDU5212

Bro said it's a dvd burner. Its black in the front and says DVD R/RW and another lil icon that says RW DVD+ReWritable.

Have a dvd player and a cd burner already in, so gonna take out the dvd player and put this one in.

    Questions are.

What program(s) to use to Burn Files on a DVD? Don't want to burn movies right now, want to burn video files on a DVD, about 4 gigs in total.

This is the first thing want to figure out first.

I'd pull out the CD burner and replace it, as your DVD burner can also burn CDs but you get more advantages IMHO when backing up DVDs by having a dedicated DVD-ROM for ripping.

Either way, I wouldn't leave home without IMGBurn, its predecessor DVDDecrypter, and Nero as far as burning goes.
    If in doubt, Google it.

Darn...lol... Already took out the dvd player and put the new one in.

So downloaded Decyrpter and IMGBurn? Or just one? Used DVD Decrypter in the past.
