One statement from their site that is interesting:
The first time 1Click DVD Copy detects a copy protected DVD, it will instruct you how to obtain a free 3rd party decrypter
You can do the same for free with DVD Shrink and the latest version of DVD Fab Decrypter. Why pay for it? I see no advantage to this software.

    I won't knock anything that's free - DVDShrink+DVDFabDecrypter = Excellent.

Main advantage with 1clickDVDcopy is its speed, which makes it probably worth paying for. I would say 4 to 5 times quicker on my Athlon 3000+ than using the above method and the video quality is flawless (at least to these old worn out eyes!)

Even when running deep analysis Shrink takes less than 40-minutes on my machine, which I consider very fast for backing up. I also use DVD-RB w/ CCE-Basic which can take a couple of hours or more. Anyway ... 4 to 5 faster than Shrink would translate into 8 to 10-minutes w/deep analysis which I find it hard to believe that 1clickDVDcopy could be that fast and produce the same results as Shrink. But if you're happy that's fine.

By the way I'm using AnyDVD, which I keep updated to the latest, and Shrink works without any problems on even the latest copy protected DVDs.

Yes, you're right. It was an unfair comparison. I was comparing
    DVDShrink+DVDFabDecypter vs 1ClickDVDCopy+AnyDVD.
Using DVDFabDecrypter adds another 40 minutes ripping time for me.

A fairer judgement would be twice as fast. 1ClickDVDCopy takes 20 minutes
to do the transcode, but another plus is its built-in burning engine that doesn't require Nero bloatware to be installed.

Neither does Shrink. You can output to ISO image file and burn that with DVDDecrypter (or it's burning-only newer version ImgBurn). Both freeware.

i use 1 click copy and find when it has to compress to 70% of the original it takes compression it takes about 35 mins plus burning, with 10% its about 20 mins. to me the quality is flawless but thats only on small ctu tv's. i just wonderd. where can i get the latest version of anydvd, is it free? i have version 5.3.2.1 and know there is a new version. does it make any difference aslong as it does decrypt it, i have had a few problems with skipping bad sectors especially on dodge ball and seinfeld. 1 click copy has great reviews but i guess its not free so isntthat popular with you guys

5.7.3.1 is the latest. Updates are free for life for all register users. You can download the latest version from: http://www.slysoft.com/en/download.html

It's not the free versus payware for most users here ... it's that most of us don't like one-click solutions for most anything we do video related. For me personally I don't mind involved processes that give me flexibility and high-quality results. This is a hobby for me. One which I enjoy and one in which I enjoy learning. For example, ...

For 90% or better I use DVD-Shrink (transcoder). For < 90% I use DVD-RB Pro w/CCE-Basic (encoder). I usually only backup main movie with menus. Very rarely do I back up extras. I usually use Vobblanker to blank out extras, that pesky FBI warning clip and the movie studios into clip. I also remove all but one language unit (usually I keep ac3 6-channel English). About 15 to 20% of the time, I will be able to backup without having to transcode or encode (i.e., 100% (no compression) on the main movie). Sometimes this involves redoing menus (I use TDA in that case). Also, sometimes I will put extras that I want to keep on a CD encoded as an XVCD at 352 x 240 resolution (e.g., LOTR extras). That way I minimize the amount of "shrinkage" that I need to get the main movie on a DVD-5.

Bottom line, my video toolbox contains many tools both freeware and payware ... tools such as DVD-Shrink, DVD-RB Pro, CCE-Basic, TDA w/ac3 plug-in, AviSynth, TMPGEnc-Plus, DVD-Decrypter, AnyDVD, VirtualDub, Nero 5, Ulead VideoStudio 6, Vobblanker, Goldwave, DVD-Audio Extractor, Adobe PhotoDeluxe Home Edition, Corel Paint Shop Pro X. Again some are free, some I bought off of ebay and others from the developers website.
