I'm trying to export my timeline from premiere pro and I am getting an error message that states an internal error occured and premiere will attempt to save my project but needs to shut down. No other details as to what happened. I tried to export with Debugmode Frameserver and then as .avi with the same results. I exported the timeline just before as .wav with no problems. I know this will fun one to answer, but, any suggestions?

    More info needed.

    What is your project setting?
Can you preview the project after rendering the full timeline?
Can you save the project before exporting?
    How are you exporting?
Will export to MPeg2 work? Or quick DVD?

I'd suggest doing a quick test with another video on the timeline, something using a different codec. Or perhaps reinstalling, making sure the codec used for the clip on your timeline was working correctly. If you have more then one codec installed for that type of video, particularly if one duplicates something that comes with prem (mainconcept?), might want to try temporarily disabling the other codec.

But all just guesses, maybe someplace to look, or post more info for prem experts.

    Okay,
    Export setting are as follows
    Microsoft DV AVI
    NTSC
D1/DV NTSC (0.9) pixal apect ratio

    Audio
    Uncompressed
    48kHZ
    16bit
    stero

I have 4 video tracks and 3 audio tracks, all tracks are locked so nothing got moved out of position accidently, export setting to "Work Area Bar" and the bar is set over all the video.

Yes I can preview the timeline in the preview window after a full render of the timeline and I can save the project.

I will try a shorter video that I will make now and post results.
    Thanks

Well it seems that you can not have the video or audio lines locked when trying to export. I ran a small 5 min video test and it worked with .avi and frameserving. So I went to the original project and ran it with unlocked timelines and a short section and it worked. I am in the process of frameserving the whole project. Sometimes when we post, with the direction and suggestions of others, we figure out out own STUPID mistakes. Thanks

Unlocking the timeline did cure the problem. I was able to get the entire video encoded by frameserving to tmpgenc. I don't remember reading that you could not export with the timeline locked. But I will never forget it.
