Encoding question with TMPGEnc

Okay figured I ask before I do it this time.

I finished ripping dvd with smart ripper, ripped and save project using dvdavi

Now I am going to encode to vcd using TMPGEnc

I was wondering If i can encode both files at the same time?

Would this throw off the ecoding process?
I have a dual 1gig p3 system with 1gig of ram and plenty of hd space. So It shouldnt be a problem right?

Well I am open to suggestions and will hear everything this time.
