  1. is it possible to rip a menu exactly like it is and put it on a (s)vcd? Also is there a good website with pictures of every menu screen to a dvd?

    Thanks in advance!!!

  2. (q1) Yes, you can rip the menus off a DVD -- however, you will have to reauthor it (i.e., no easy simple process) onto your S/VCD. It won't behave "exactly" like on the DVD as S/VCD menus don't work in the same way (e.g., you can't use the cursor selection keys).

I prefer DVD2AVI to extract still images or video sequences from the DVD menus (usually in VTS_01_0.VOB).

    (q2) Don't think so.

  3. I realize this is probably a dumb question, but you would rip those the same way as any other VOBs, right?
What about the buttons? How would you get those?

  4. Yes, you can rip the additional VOB files the same way.

With SmartRipper, you will probably have to use "File Mode" to access and rip the individual vob files directly.

As for ripping the "buttons" (which I presume you mean by the overlay graphics "highlights" when you make a selection?) I've never bothered to try to do it before. You may be able to save the OGT as BMP (and then reintegrate them with an image editing proggy later) with Subrip. I reiterate that I have never tried this before.
