I decided to make an "Official Verbatim Dual Layer DVD Thread" so we can all post up deals whenever they are offered for the BEST dual layer disc out there since they are so expensive.

So let me start this off, there is a special on Verbatim DL at Office Max for a 10 pack for $19.99. If you go to the website it says only 1 per customer but if you go to the store you can buy as many as you want. I just came home with 7 packs, thats 70 discs for $140 ($2 per disc).

  2. I will be headed to Office Max to pick up some of these, thanks!

To add to this thread Walmart still has these at $11.88 for a 3/pack.

If you have OfficeMax coupons like I did ($10 off $30), it gets even cheaper. Especially if you have multiple stores around you, and can use more than one coupon.

I don't know how or why I get Office Max, Office Depot or Best Buy coupons mailed to my home, but they sure come in handy!

FYI, the Verbatim +R DL are available every day at Sams Club - $77 for a pack of 30: around $2.56 each + tax. If you couldn't get the $2 per disc deal at Office Max, you can easily get them at Sams Club.

10-pack available at Best Buy for 19.99 ($2 per disc)

Limit 2 per customer on-line, not sure about how many can be purchased at the store.

    $24.99 with a $7.00 mail-in rebate = $17.99. I got free shipping, too, but don't know if that'll last...

Don't be fooled by the Staples sale this week on the DVD+R DL Kit. They are selling these 10 packs for $19 yet it only has one DVD+R DL, plus 8 DVD+R, and 1 DVD+RW. They are advertising it locally as a Dual Layer sale, yet you can buy a three pack of Verbatim DVD+R DL discs for $15 which actually a better deal and that's an everyday price not a sale.

$5 per disc is not actually what I would call a deal

In all fairness to ROF - he was warning people about the kit that is on sale that's packaging is strikingly similar to the packaging of the 10 pak +R DL Verbatims that were on sale at Best Buy recently. I agree, for someone in a real hurry they could easily be confused by this. What the heck are they trying to do calling it a "DVD+R DL Kit" anyways.

  18. Almost forgot, if you buy these at your local Walmart and the shelf where they are at is out of stock or empty, check the top shelf. I've found on a few occasion there is a full tray sittin uptop that hasn't made it to its regular stock location yet.

Our Office Max has a sign saying limit 1 per customer. Although I suppose like all good sales you could enter the store, buy one, leave, re-enter the store, buy another one, leave, and continue repeating the process until you achieve your goal.

Ok, I was afraid that the MIS would be substandard ,,, Now Thanks to LS I see that is their main plant. Strangely to me I thought that they were a Japanese company and thus their main plant would be in Japan.

Best Buy's Sunday circular shows the Verbatim Dual Layers at $19.95.
