    What resolution does a DVD player output?

    Is it 480p or 720p?

    I believe the non hd specific players output to 480p assuming its a progressive scan player. The newer models have "upconversion" capability that can upscale the resolution.

    standard resolution is 480i or 480p in progressive scan mode as stated by yoda313
