A lot of people convert their vcds into bin-cue files and then burn them lile that. What is the point of this?

VCDImager doesn't burn. Instead it creates a disc image (in CUE/BIN format) so that you can burn it with another program.
CUE/BIN was chosen because it has the greatest degree of compatibility across all systems and OS'es.
Why use VCDImager?
- menus
- chapters
- many other forms of user interactivity.
