Any help with Converting asf to avi files?

I have tried all of the software listed here..is there any that will do the job that might not be listed..I had thought avi converter would but the video doesnt look very good when it is able to convert it..Thanks in advance for any help

or would it be better to convert the asf files to something other than avi ..?I am ultimately looking to convert all to a dvd..

Where did you get your ASF files from? Some require a special enocoder be present on your computer.

they play fine on the computer..encoder to be able to convert them?I am wanting to convert them all to 1 dvd and they are many short film clips

Sure, usually file converters are listed under the two conversions, thus, ASF2AVI or ASFtoAVi, or DVD2AVi, etc, did you try ASFTools? You can search the net for one of those.
