I have Nero Premium 7. I am trying to make a cover, and using some images to put into it (they are all JPEG/GIF format). If I go Insert->Image and then choose the image file, it is really small. If I then expand it to near the correct size, it becomes pixelated.

Why does it import images and make them really small and pixelated? If I import the same images into Word 2003, they appear the proper size and are not pixelated at all!

    Any ideas?

Never used Nero Cover Designer, but I'm gonna guess your images are too small. It's not just pixels you have to worry about, you also need to have enought dpi. Use larger images. For a full DVD Case your image should be around 2140 x 1420 @ 200 dpi. If you have to resize up, You can use Irfanview (free). It's a great image app that everybody should have on their PC. You can resize up using the Lanczos Filter that does a very impressive job of enlarging your images.

Worst case, you can use Word to make your covers. I've actually used Excell to make a lot of CD case back covers that looked great.

Have you tried printing one to see if it actually prints pixelated? Could just be an issue with the software and it may print correctly.

my friends laughed at me when they've seen me use excel to make CD compilation covers. I'm glad to see I'm not the only one to find it useful.
