Help with Nero6 DVD to AVI

New to the forum, found some good info.


I just recently bought a Sony DVD Direct to burn VHS tapes to DVD format. That hasnt been to hard to do. The problem have been having is converting the DVD format to AVI or mpeg (not mpeg4). I am wanting to put them on www.putfile.com and the mpeg4 format isnt working.

Any help would be great.

If you're using Nero to encode to mp4, you might need to check the box for compatibility in the encoding dialog. Or Nero mp4 might just be too different. In that case perhaps try wmv -- free encoder etc.

Regular avi files or mjpeg would be too large to be practical.
