  1. Hey all.. well it started after i got my new burner Acer CDRE/20/10/40 + Seamless Link (NO Buffer Under Run thingy.. ) ohh.. and my new DVD Player Dansai DVD852S (Really Rock's play's anything..) well let me get to the point..

as anyone would want to is to start burn some VCD's at top speed.. 20X.. and yes i do have CD's 4 that speed.. (Memorex 1X->24X 700MB) anyway.. here i go and burn away.. With Nero (version 5.5.5.6 ) and sure it burn's.. in about 5 min's np at all.. and then it say's the normal finished msg .. and the ok button.. no pop up about how many buffer under run's it have fixed or anything.. just the ok .. it's all ok.. so sure i think.. nothing wrong.. and then.. just to be sure i play it on my comp the .dat with WMP (windows Media Player).. and it's haveing truble starting it.. after like em.. 15 long sec's it play's .. and then after a while i get a error or it's ton's of arctifacts and u name it.. totaly ruined.. (heh emy DVD player played it anyway.. all tho with it all there.. ) i tryed it on my DVD player.. and some is fine and some is not.. but still.. the source VCD is perfect.. it's something teh burning have done.. so i have been asking around some.. and i'm thinking it's the speed.. so sure i got my solution i think (need to try) but that have to be it.. the thing is .. what's so special with burning VCD's .mpg >> VCD with Nero 4 example ?! i meen i burned a SVCD.. not sure if it was.. with nero, or at that speed.. or even a .mpg >>> SVCD ?! think so, or it was cue/bin with Fireburner.. anyway.. what's so special with VCD's.. i meen shouldn't it be able to burn VCD's at 20X. it also have Seamless Link.. so plz tell me if u also have had the same or similar problem when burning VCD's.. or whatever u think might be the similar to this.. and tell me of ur experiance.. and maybe a solution of ur problem..

PS. Sorry 4 any miss spelling or bad gramar i'm sleepy.. and don't think straghit right now.. will fix it all in the morning.. so plz bear with everything u find offencive.. (no eng is not my 1t Language.. )

yes, that is a bit confusing.

What is so special about VCD and SVCD?

They use a different file system which allows u to get more data onto the disk.

    What is VCD .mpg<VCD?

All VCD's and SVCD's use MPEG compressions, Mpeg 1 and Mpeg 2 respectivly.

I would imagine it has something to do with the quality of the groove produced.

I guess burning slow, u get a more defined groove which is closer to the "printed" grooves DVD players r made to read.

    Neyone wanna correct me?
