I just did a dvdbackup on a kids movie of mine. it is of the low budget variety (i.e barbie) so I don' think there is any elaborate copy protection, but when I got to use mkisofs -dvd-video, it complaines that BARBIE/VIDEO_TS/VIDEO_TS.IFO is not there. Indeed it is not.
Here is the output from my run:
resulting directory structure is:Code:$ dvdbackup -i /dev/dvd -F -o . libdvdread: Using libdvdcss version 1.2.9 for DVD access libdvdread: Attempting to retrieve all CSS keys libdvdread: This can take a _long_ time, please be patient libdvdread: Get key for /VIDEO_TS/VIDEO_TS.VOB at 0x00000141 libdvdread: Elapsed time 0 libdvdread: Get key for /VIDEO_TS/VTS_01_0.VOB at 0x000001a6 libdvdread: Elapsed time 0 libdvdread: Get key for /VIDEO_TS/VTS_01_1.VOB at 0x000001aa libdvdread: Elapsed time 0 libdvdread: Get key for /VIDEO_TS/VTS_02_0.VOB at 0x00038bf6 libdvdread: Elapsed time 0 libdvdread: Get key for /VIDEO_TS/VTS_02_1.VOB at 0x00038bfa libdvdread: Elapsed time 0 libdvdread: Get key for /VIDEO_TS/VTS_03_0.VOB at 0x001ea437 libdvdread: Elapsed time 3 libdvdread: Get key for /VIDEO_TS/VTS_03_1.VOB at 0x0020a167 libdvdread: Elapsed time 0 libdvdread: Get key for /VIDEO_TS/VTS_04_0.VOB at 0x0020a1a0 libdvdread: Elapsed time 0 libdvdread: Get key for /VIDEO_TS/VTS_04_1.VOB at 0x0020a1a4 libdvdread: Elapsed time 0 libdvdread: Get key for /VIDEO_TS/VTS_05_0.VOB at 0x0020ba08 libdvdread: Elapsed time 0 libdvdread: Get key for /VIDEO_TS/VTS_05_1.VOB at 0x0020ba0c libdvdread: Elapsed time 0 libdvdread: Get key for /VIDEO_TS/VTS_06_0.VOB at 0x0020ba28 libdvdread: Elapsed time 0 libdvdread: Get key for /VIDEO_TS/VTS_06_1.VOB at 0x0020ba2c libdvdread: Elapsed time 0 libdvdread: Get key for /VIDEO_TS/VTS_07_0.VOB at 0x0020ba48 libdvdread: Elapsed time 0 libdvdread: Get key for /VIDEO_TS/VTS_07_1.VOB at 0x0020ba4c libdvdread: Elapsed time 1 libdvdread: Get key for /VIDEO_TS/VTS_08_0.VOB at 0x0020ba85 libdvdread: Elapsed time 0 libdvdread: Get key for /VIDEO_TS/VTS_08_1.VOB at 0x0020ba89 libdvdread: Elapsed time 0 libdvdread: Found 8 VTS's libdvdread: Elapsed time 4
Any help would be great. If there is a better forum for this, just point me to it.Code:. ./get_total_size ./get_cracking_errors ./backup ./BARBIE_PEGASUS ./BARBIE_PEGASUS/VIDEO_TS ./BARBIE_PEGASUS/VIDEO_TS/VTS_02_0.IFO ./BARBIE_PEGASUS/VIDEO_TS/VTS_02_0.BUP ./BARBIE_PEGASUS/VIDEO_TS/VTS_02_0.VOB ./BARBIE_PEGASUS/VIDEO_TS/VTS_02_1.VOB ./BARBIE_PEGASUS/VIDEO_TS/VTS_02_2.VOB ./BARBIE_PEGASUS/VIDEO_TS/VTS_02_3.VOB ./BARBIE_PEGASUS/VIDEO_TS/VTS_02_4.VOB

You should be able to load them into ifoedit and create new ifo files. Though I've never really used ifoedit so I can't help you with the step by step.
Though in that second list there is a vts_02_0.ifo file. Shouldn't that be adequate??Donatello - The Shredder? Michelangelo - Maybe all that hardware is for making coleslaw? -
Good luck
