  1. I just did a dvdbackup on a kids movie of mine. it is of the low budget variety (i.e barbie) so I don' think there is any elaborate copy protection, but when I got to use mkisofs -dvd-video, it complaines that BARBIE/VIDEO_TS/VIDEO_TS.IFO is not there. Indeed it is not.

    Here is the output from my run:
    Code:
    $ dvdbackup -i /dev/dvd -F -o .

    You should be able to load them into ifoedit and create new ifo files. Though I've never really used ifoedit so I can't help you with the step by step.

    Though in that second list there is a vts_02_0.ifo file. Shouldn't that be adequate??

  3. I tried copying that IFO file to VIDEO_TS.IFO, but dvd playing software doesn't seem to like it, nor did mkisofs.

    ifoedit is windows only, but I could probably do the same w/ unix software. By extracting the mpegs from the VOBS, and then re-authoring the dvd.

    Thanks,
