How do I process the .md5 installation file for Aspect 2.1.0? I don't know any application for the .md5 extension.

MD5 is just a checksum to make sure the file is valid.
For example, say this is my MD5 file:
; Using hkSFV on 12.31.2005 at 15:01:34
; http://www.big-o-software.com
;
;/----
; 4628480 13:25.16 2005-12-18 Mega Nrg Man - Back On The Rocks.mp3
;\----
;
c0f5d1629909beb3d65867accd0ed0f2 *Mega Nrg Man - Back On The Rocks.mp3
It is basically saying that my MP3 file has this bold signature of a checksum. With a separate program such as hkSFV, I can run an MD5 checksum on the file, and confirm the original file (the MP3 in this case) is indeed the same and was not mutated during the transmission.
It's just a verifier, and is not needed for installation.
