what is the min sized hard drive i would need for capturing vhs??

depends on several things.
1.) Is their ur primary hard drive or a dedicated capture drive?
2.) Are you capturing compressed avi, uncompressed avi, or MPEG.
I'd say no less that 20-40
I'd say 60-80gigs.
Make sure u get 7200 RPM's or u might have frame dropping problems.
Laptop user? I have never seen a 7200RPM laptop. -
i have 2 40 gig hard drives i use 70gig for capture and that is more than enough i can capture a few hours of telly etc.Using the huffy codec
