    Probably not.

Two common types of sync problems.

Sync is offset by the same amount throughout the video. You add or subtract a delay in the audio track.

The video gradually loses sync during the video. The audio length does not match the video length. You shorten or lengthen the audio or the video to match the lengths.

Depending on the format you have converted to, a couple of programs to help with sync adjustments are SyncView and Hypercube Time Stretcher.

Otherwise it is just trial and error.

Another thing to note: it COULD just be the darn player that's losing sync, instead of your file.

For example, I have have a very low-spec computer (400 MHz, really) and thus I have problems often playing some of the biggest videos, like DIVX5 in hi res, and so on. Even BSPlayer often loses sync when playing DIVX or XVID videos. VLC doesn't have such problems, but it's compatible with fewer formats/codecs.

I would check the file lengths and such and try seek back and forth to make sure that you really are losing sync in the FILE, instead of in the player. If you are only losing sync in the player, than if you jump ahead the sync should be maintained.

no, im losing sync in the converted file

the orginal file is fine, my guess is cause there are 1 sec freezes in certain parts. ( but after that the audio is fine) But when u encode it, i get back sync cuz of those delay( thats my guess)..would video fixer fix this?

I have a similar problem with some films... but not all.
When i use the bsplayer it's perfect with the sync but when i try to burn in dvd (with nero), the video is not sync with audio. I think that the problem is with the video because the subtitles are correct with the audio.
    Anyone knows the solution?
    Thanks in advance...

plimplimplim : You can use your original DVD to get a good backup. If you don't own this film on DVD, you should not be discussing it here
