  1. i'm coming to conclusion that there's only one app which handles non-standard xvcd mpg files - nero burning rom... the rest can only operate with standard input... prove me wrong!

    VCDEasy does "XVCD" - where Nero has the tendency to reencode the "XVCD" mpg to compliant mpg, ruining the material completely.

    Well...... technically you didn't say you wanted to end up with a vcd so.....

    Dvdlab can handle them just fine, but you'd be making a mini-dvd instead of a vcd. Pro: you can author a fantastic menu using xvcd mpeg-1 files. Con: um.... you have to learn to make dvds.

    No you're not. In fact, the "D" in XVCD stands for Disc, so it can't be an XVCD without being on disc...
