    I'm using DLP 1.55

    I have created a menu (Play All) which is just used to set GPRM values in the Pre-Commands section. There is one button on the menu which is Invisible All and in the PBC tab I have:
    Duration: a/v (0)
    Hi-Lite Default Btn: 1
    Force Activate Btn: 1

    When I play the DVD in my computer and choose the button on my Main Menu which goes to the menu with the Invisible All button it is sent on to the movie it's supposed to go to. When I play it in my standalone players I get different results.

    In my DVD recorder (Philips) it sits on the Play All menu until I hit the Menu button on the remote, then goes to the movie I intend it to go to. The same thing happens on a Philips player.

    On a Panasonic player it sits on the Play All menu until I hit the Menu button and then goes back to the Main Menu. It never gets to the movie.

    On a JVC player it plays as it should with no delay.

    The Pre Commands in the Play All menu are:
    GPRM1 = 7
    GPRM2 = 7
    I use these commands so that at the end of the movie the command If (GPRM1 == GPRM2) JumpVTS_TT 2 (I'm at a different computer but I think that's the command I used) will send the player to the next movie. Otherwise the end link takes me back to the Main Menu.

    The Pre-Command in the Main Menu is:
    GPRM1 = 6
    GPRM2 = 7
    This is to reset the General Parameters so that at the end of Movie 1 it will go back to the Main Menu unless the Play All button has been used.

    Is this a player-specific problem or am I doing something wrong? Thanks for looking at this.

    Have a very Happy New Year everyone.

    Dude, why are you doing this the hard way? Why use a play all menu when you can use the Play All feature in your connections window and link it straight off your root menu? That way you don't have to mess with GPRM's at all. The play all command will ignore all end links and just play all videos in sequence as laid out on the disk. (Connection tab> Add> Play All)

    Here you have duration set at a/v. Do you have a motion background on this menu or any audio? This setting will play the audio/video and at the end of it will force activate your invisible button. If you don't have any audio or video on it, the various players may be getting confused waiting for the a/v to start. If you just have a jpeg as background you'd be better off setting duration to a time in seconds (eg. Duration: 1 will highlight the button after 1 second. Duration:0 will flash the menu so fast you probably won't be able to see it and it will just go onto the movie.)

    Because there's more to it. Without going into great detail, I also have chapters that I'm choosing and chapters that I'm leaving out.

    That's exactly what I want it to do. For some reason on the recorder and 2 of the players it doesn't go to the movie as I intend it to do. There is no audio or video on the Play All menu. Others I've done in the past worked out very well. I'm using the same method that I used before but maybe the other times I was just lucky?
    I'll try setting the Duration to 1 sec to see if that makes a difference but I really don't want any delay. Thanks for the input.

    Duration should say 0 and have no a/v then.

    As soon as you type the 0 into the duration box it automatically changes to a/v. Never seen it do anything different.

    Dang.... you're right. (I could have sworn I got 0 in there a long time ago when I was messing with that, but I could be wrong.)

    1 second should be just as good and not that noticable. Why make it hard when it doesn't have to be, right?

    .

    I just like a challenge. If something doesn't work the way I want it to I'll beat my head on the wall until I figure it out or the pain is too great.

    Usually I'm the same, but been there done that and realized it's not worth the headache afterwards. You've got to pick and choose your battles.

    Solved!!

    On the advice of someone on another forum I used an Empty Command instead of a menu and it's working perfectly. My thanks to goonix at doom9.org
