Please help... VirtualDUB resize filter to CCE

i have been trying to do this for several days... i have searched this site and still cant do it. i have installed avisynth and i am familiar with vdub frame server... but when i open avi with vdub apply resize filter no audio start frame server save as *.vdr and try to open with CCE it trys for a while then i get an error and CCE has to close. i use winxp. please give me instruction on how to do this... i don't get the .avs stuff and i have been reading for days. i'm using 2.50 but cannot get vdr file to load. i have the handler install as well as the proxy. i THINK i'm doing everything right... the key word being THINK...

CCE must have audio input. turn on audio in vdub, uncheck audio in CCE, it apparently sucks at audio, use same frameserver to tmpgenc audio only, remux w/bbmpeg.
