I am so confused you guys I borrowed a video from my friend and ripped it using #1 DVD Ripper (AVI Format with the 3ivx Codec into 4 500MB peices "High Def") but no matter what program I use to convert it to DVD format (.vob) it always skips now and then in my home DVD Players...I have tried these programs (Video Convert Master,Movie DVD Maker,DVD Santa) Am I not doing something right? I have 1GB Memory so I no thats not it, and my DVD burner is brand new top of the line by LiteON...what do you guys think...I really need to get all these borrowed videos off my computer, if I dont get help soon I think I will just burn them to disk as they are, and just watch them on the computer which sucks

    Questions :

    1. If the original was a DVD, why convert it to avi and then back to VOB ?

    2. What media are you using ? Skipping is often a sign of cheap media.

    3. Have you tried DivxtoDVD instead ? The best method is to use the correct tools and do it in stages, however if you must use a one-click-wonder piece of software, DivxtoDVD is the most reliable I have found.

I had to give back the DVD...thats why I need to convert it from AVI to DVD (.vob) other wise I would just try copying it strait up! But I didnt have a DVD Burner at the time, so I decided to rip and store them...I have had these DVDs on here for about 6 months now...I am using Maxell media 8x 4.7 GB ... 2HRS ... The DVD played fine before I ripped it so I know it wasent ripped that way?
