I read all over and have come to fork in the road to capture cards. I'm about to buy a new card the dazzle dvc2 or the dazzle hollywood 1394 dv bridge. I relize they are differnt in their capture format. Out of these two cards does anyone have a clue to as which one will produce the best looking end results in a vcd/svcd product. computer speed and hard drive space is not a concern. My computer is fast and the hard drive is large. Will avi capture be better then convert to vcd format or is mpeg2 a better way to go. thanks for any input just really not sure which is better my self.
