just bought a PAL format DVD set and was wondering about compatibility issues. i own a Sony DVP-NS575P DVD player which i believe plays either format (NTFS, PAL) and a Sony wega KV-32 FS 120 which i'm uncertain of its capability.
does anyone know if this system will play?
if not, what are my options if any?
thanks

Not many TV manufacturers list their TV playability so you'll need to rely on the player.
The DVD's being PAL are your second hurdle.
The first hurdle is the region coding on the set.
Sony players are getting better at playing PAL discs but they are far from the best at this task....I'd say your chances are pretty slim that they will play right out of the box. -
the DVD set says region 2
if i'm really lucky as you say it'll play, but as it appears it won't. what can i do to either the player or the DVDs so it works ?
thanks -
I have severe doubts about your Sony player. They will play on your computer. You can make copies of them with your computer to remove the region coding BUT I doubt that alone will make them playable in that Sony.
