I've been running SVCD2DVD for about a year now with no problems..........Until recently. Now when I start SVCD2DVD it crashes straight away. I think it maybe related to the installation of some new codecs (FFDShow) their icon pops up in a system bar and then disappears after the crash. I have tried to roll the codecs back and this hasn't resolved the problem. I had monitored the crash and got a log of the error.
I have only attached the first 10 lines of the log, as it is very long: I hope somebody can help. I can post the complete log if that would help. Please advise
additional: I had the problem before I upgraded to the latest version. After upgrade I had the same problem. I have recently installed new hardware. Graphics Card: Nvidia Geforce 6600 GT. Could this be the problem??:

First thing to try is reinstall .Net 1.1 and .Net 1.1SP1. Then try a fresh install of the latest version of SVCD2DVD.
SVCD2DVD v2.5, AVI/MPEG/HDTV/AviSynth/h264->DVD, PAL->NTSC conversion.

Thanks for the reply.
I did as you suggested but that didn't work.
But what I did do was remove all the codec packs I had installed and some other junk from my sytem and now it works.
It seems it was the FFDcodecs was causing the crash. My previous attempt to roll back was unsuccessful, better just to unistall them completely. I also installed a new aspi17 driver. (not sure if that had any effect or not)
I am now using K-Lite Codec Pack 2.48 Basic and everything seems to be running fine. (Fingers Crossed).
Maybe a approved set of codecs available from the SVCD2DVD site would be a good idea. (But I guess there is so many that may not be possible)
Again thanks for the help.
best wishes
