    Problem one - I tested a couple of small vobs ( trailers ) and some where successful with Xvid but some wanted to connect to the net to find suitable codecs that I presumed I already had - I must have them if some ofthe other trailers worked okay. Is it potluck with SimpleDivx? Did it just screw up the conversion for the Xvid avis that wouldn't play?

    Problem two - subtitles. I just made a Divx avi - the subtitles only run for about 50% of the Divx movie. Why would that happen?

    Problem 2 solved. The subtitle ripper ripped the subtitles and the timeline was slighty screwed - the times were correct for the first half and then the timeline jumped an hour or so which is why I had no titles showing after the first half. Used another subtitle ripper and all was okay.
