The other week something stranged happened to my rio s11 sonic blue mp3 player. I had upgraded to the last available firmware in the fall and it worked beautifully. It had corrected a forgotten feature of saving the pause point when the unit went into powersaving mode. That meant you had to start the song over again. So the last upgrade allowed you to pause your song and pick right up where you left off after being in standby mode.
However just the other day it stopped doing that. Worse yet it would reset to the first song on the playlist.
I thought maybe the firmware got fried but the version was the one it was supposed to be. Out of curiousity I reflashed and voila, it worked right again! But why did it go bad in the first place???
