I've used CCE and gone through some recommended settings for converting AVI. The problem I've seen regularily is that after setting everything up and converting to mpeg, the file length is shown as shorter than it started.
As an example, an AVI i converted was 1:48 long and the converted mpeg showed 1:33. The AVI demuxed audio showed the correct length when opened in DVDlab, the video showed the shorter length.
I'm not sure if there'll be a problem when they are muxed in DVDLab.
This happens with almost every CCE encoded AVI to Mpeg (NTSC).
Has anyone else seen this and do you know what causes it/ how to correct?
Example - demuxed an ac3 stream with VD - 2:24.56
Opened AVI up in CCE - 1:55.56
I'm going to run and use DVDlab to author. Not sure why the discrepancy.
Note: Audio and video were out of synhch.
